 As Executive Director of Lookout Mountain
Community Services (LMCS), I want to welcome you to our web
site. LMCS has been providing mental health, substance abuse,
mental retardation or developmental disabilities services to
individuals since 1965. LMCS provides services to the four most
northwest counties of Georgia: Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, and
Walker. We provide these services regardless of one’s ability to
pay by using an adjusted fee scale based on one’s income. While
everyone is expected to pay something for services rendered, we
are able to serve those individuals who do not have insurance or
the funds to pay full fee.
LMCS serves adults, children, and adolescents with a wide range
of problems. Not only do we have traditional services such as
psychiatric evaluations, medication monitoring, individual and
group therapy, we also offer community-based services in homes,
in schools and at the work site to facilitate improved
functioning in those settings. In addition, LMCS has an
extensive transportation program which transports
consumers to our various programs.
