LMCS will host FREE QPR Community Training Sessions

Lookout Mountain Community Services will be hosting free Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Gatekeeper trainings to coincide with National Suicide Prevention Month in September. Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) stands for the three steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide.

Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives. People trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

While the QPR training sessions are free, the class size is limited and you must pre-register by emailing the number of attendees and the name of the county in which you wish to attend the training to sueannw@lmcs.org.
Once a training session reaches the maximum amount of participants any additional individuals will be placed on a waiting list for additional, free, QPR trainings to be announced at a later date based on interest within the county.

To pre-register, or to learn more, please email sueannw@lmcs.org or call 706.638.5580 X4114.
The deadline to register for one of the free training sessions is Tuesday, September 11, 2018 by 5:00 p.m.
